About Susuwan & Friends
Susuwan are a curious species. In fact they are actually aliens, that came from the wide universe traveling on a meteor. What exactly they are, no body knows.
The Arrival
Sometime after the meteor fell into the Atlantic Ocean in the 1970s, strange whispers began to ripple across the waters. Not voices - just the subtle sense that something gentle and curious had arrived.
Scientists didn’t notice anything at first, but fishermen spoke of shimmering shapes in the distance and strange ripples in still ponds. It wasn’t until 20 years later that a Japanese biologist discovered a tiny, white creature floating silently on a lake. Mistaken for a swan chick at first, it turned out to be the first documented Susuwan. Legend has it, that him calling out "Swan" (with a japanese accent) to his English colleagues, led to the name Susuwan.

A Species Unknown
Despite their swan-like silhouette and soft, animal-like bodies, they don’t belong to any known species..
They eat mostly plankton, stay with one partner for life, and like living in warm, quiet places near water.
There are three types of Susuwan: one that gently floats through the air, one that swims in rivers and streams, and one that walks quietly on land.

Theories and Tales
The meteor that struck decades earlier is believed to have opened a rift between dimensions -or perhaps just a hidden part of Earth.
Some speculate the Susuwan were passengers, or maybe even messengers. Others say they were always here, hidden in the warmth of nature, only stepping out when the time was right. Their silent nature has made them a mystery, but to those who keep them in terrariums or fish bowls, they’ve become symbols of quiet joy and connection.

Coexistence
Susuwans cannot speak too humans (they are too small and their voice can not be heard), but they communicate with warmth. Literally.
Drawn to body heat and soft fabrics, these creatures often curl up near heat sources or even in a cupped hand. Though humans cannot hear them, they seem to understand human presence and respond with a kind of slow, calming affection. It's no surprise that they’re now lovingly collected by those who seek small comforts in a busy world.
